About 8 microseconds ago, aintitcool.com posted an interesting little article on the negotiations between all of the appropriate Raimies (how do ya spell a plural “Raimi” anyway?) and “other people”. Now, the article doesn’t really specify, usually ending up by using the word “they” in place of whoever they are negotiating with. — So we may have to take a grain of salt with this one.
Now I can understand the reasons ‘for’ this movie, but I also understand being ‘anti’ this movie. The article makes a few sharp little anecdotes about Bruce Campbell’s building following and Ash being the only actual Horror HERO and not just a really popular icon of horror like Freddy & Jason. And as it says “….Besides just hearing Ash quip sh*t to Freddy… will be heaven. Ya know?” Mind you, I expect that whatever final decisions are made will be exclusively owned by the Raimi’s. — I’d imagine that CEO’s have little shrines of the guy thanks to Mr. Spiderman.
Freddy vs. Jason was ok xcpt fr the part where FREDDY GOT 1 FUCKN KILL!!! and jason needs his ass kicked. But if Raimi isnt going to do it it might be more Nightmare of Friday than Evil Dead. and if its like that than Ash get to kick ass in diffrent ways than before

no raimi? hhmmmm……this could be a disaster…then again….the word is evil dead 4 is never going to happen, fangoria reported it was on some obscure companies planned projects for 2005…..but, sounds like trash to me. i say our chances for more ash are slim, and i will take what i can get.

Abort! Abort! The Hollywood Reporter just ran an article on this and according to them if the deal closes Raimi will NOT be directing. I have a hard enough time with somebody throwing Ash into this propped up scenario but to do it with anyone other than his creator at the helm is just sacriligious … if you want Ash, just give the man the money to make another Evil Dead film. It’s what all the fans really want to see anyway …
we can only hope, brucecampbell.com has been saying it will not happen for a while now…hopefully this tune will change, as this could be the single best movie ever created…look out Ben-Hur, Ash is coming to town to kick some Jason and Freddy ass.
