Craig Kilborn is one of those odd little people the public doesn’t really know what to do with. Some people love him… but the majority (like me) always found him dry… not the funny kind of dry… just dry. It always felt like was about to be hilarious… and then nothing. There were no tears when the show ended. However, like most people in the entertainment industry do, Kilborn seems to have landed on his feet and snagged a role in the newest bad idea from Disney, a re-make of The Shaggy Dog (oddly enough NOT starring Shaggy OR Snoop Dogg). Will someone in California please with the Disney brass a collective smack upside the head. The good folks at Rope Of Silicon give up this offering:
Craig Kilborn and Danny Glover are set to join Tim Allen and Kristin Davis in the Walt Disney Pictures’ remake of The Shaggy Dog with Brian Robbins is directing.
The original movie was released way back in 1959 and featured a man who occasionally changes into a sheepdog. In this case Allen will be the canine in question and Glover will star as Allen’s boss and Kilborn his neighbor. Kristen Davis stars as Allen’s wife.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong… but doesn’t everything Tim Allen is in (as far as movies go) suck? Have you seen the trailer for Christmas with the Kranks? Ouch.
Oh yeah. Good point about Galaxy Quest. That movie was pretty killer I must admit.
GALAXY QUEST was fantastic, but yeah, the rest of Tim Allen’s filmography is pretty poor.
