Mean Creek and its trailer. When Stand by Me Goes Horribly, Horribly Wrong.

— Posted by John Campea

If you took the happiness of Requiem for a Dream, and crammed it into the wonder of ‘youthful outdoor exploration’, you may end up with something that looks an awful lot like Mean Creek.

The Trailer is on the movie’s main page.

Mean Creek has been making the festival rounds, but this is the first time it has ever graced my brain. And for a directorial debut, this sucker looks like it has the disturbing potential of being very dark and very good.

I know nothing else about the film. I just liked the trailer. So there you are.
