Sky High trailer

By Richard - June 4, 2005 - 11:30 America/Montreal

SkyHighStill.jpgI love trailers, and this one is a shining example of all that is good about them, plus it’s got me all excited about another movie and guess what, it’s a Disney movie. Now that really is surprising for me.

Sky High looked like fun from the outset. A school where superheros kids are taught. Gotta be fun, but I’ve only just now understood the premise and seen anything more than a still of the school logo, and guess what, it looks like a whole heap of fun.

Kurt Russell and Bruce Campbell, absolutely superb, I love them both, and a nice peek from Lynda Carter of TV series Wonder Woman fame. From IMDB:

Set in a world where superheroes are commonly known and accepted, young Will, the son of Commander Stronghold and Jetstream, tries to find a balance between being a normal teenager and an extraordinary being.

Then his Dad’s old enemy comes back on the scene and it’s up to the super-kids to save the day. Now, hold on, go and watch the trailer and give it a chance. I had a good few laughs in there. (Pablo, you will love it!) Check out the trailer over at Disney, found through Movies.com. What do you think?

  1. Looks very cool. Smart move on Disney’s part. With all of the licensed superhero movies coming out, they decide to create their own with a great cast to boot.

Dave Foley and Kevin McDonald (kids in the hall) are in this as well.

I was not exited to see this film – thought it was going to be too much of an Incredibles rip off. Now that I look at the casting, I am pretty pumped/

enh. good idea + disney = watered down crap. usually anyway. i might illegally download it though.

  4. Oooooooh, illegal! illegal!

Anyway, it looks decent but I don’t see a reason to see it in the theatre, I can wait for the DVD.
