Oh, groovy. The alleged treatment for what was never to be, Freddy vs Jason 2 (Freddy vs Jason vs Ash), is online for all to read. With the news coming that seems to kill the idea of this ever happening, they’ve decided to fire the nail right into Ash’s remaining good hand and release the treatment for all to read.
Rope of Silicon is carrying it from Bloody Disgusting. Note that I credit everything I feasibly can. I sometimes wander how many credits are missed out, especially “throughs”, anyway.
You know what, it’s actually not that bad. Having just read through it I’m not as disappointed as I thought I would be, and it looks a lot of fun. Surprisingly it does stay true to all three characters, and apart from some overly cheesey moments, it as not all that bad. I really wouldn’t mind seeing this half as much as I thought I would.
Anyone else read it? What do you think, would it make for a good, fun horror flick? Give me some answers, give me some sugar baby!
wut the hell happened to mike myers…first of all ash would get ripped to pieces by either freddy or jason…mike myers dies in his movies and some how mysteriously comes back over and over again…ash shouldnt b in this movie if he dies than he would just die…mike on the other hand can come back and stay in the fight against these two horror movie icons
I enjoyed the story treatment and would have loved to see it go up on the screen. The bridging between the three characters was very believable, the action seemed intense, and it would have been a great way to wrap up the Ash legacy. What a shame this will never see the light of day.

Honestly, looking at what you’ve written you need to read it. It does stay true to all the characters, in particular Ash.

I liked, on an entertaining level, Freddy vs Jason, but I have NO desire to see Ash brought into the mix.
IF he was by some bad mistake (easily concieved in Hollywood) Ash would have to win or the movie would suck ass. AND Bruce would have to play Ash. Would he? I’m not so sure. If he did – I might be persuaded to see it.
I read it and enjoyed it as well. Of course that’s no guarantee that it would translate well to the big screen. Of course there had to be some kind of outrageous bridge established between the three, but I thought it was handled well.
Interesting to read the treatment and get the behind the scenes notes… stuff like how they define the stereotypical characters that are de rigeur in these types of films. :-)

what’s the point? seriously. what could possibly bring these two worlds together and why would they want to? freddy vs jason, yes, i understand. that was rumored to happen basically throughout the course of my entire life. but this thing with ash? wtf? why? it doesn’t make sense other than to put a little spending cash in some hollywood exec’s pocket.
