Even More New X-Men 3 Footage
Just caught 4 new X-Men 3 TV spots via our good friends over at Cinema Blend. I swear I just can’t make up my mind on this whole X-Men 3 thing. First everything looks horrible, then the trailers come out and I get excited about it, then that horrible footage of Wolverine and the Sentinel head comes out and the word “Craptacular” goes through my head again. And now… with these 4 new short TV spots with a bunch of new footage we haven’t seen yet… my hope is restored yet again.
In the TV spots we get to see some great Iceman vs. Pyro footage (no really… it’s pretty damn sweet). There’s even a potentially cheesy line in their fight that ends up working pretty well:
PYRO: “You should have stayed in school”
ICEMAN: “You shouldn’t have left”
Some great Beast, new Juggy… oh a whole bunch of stuff
You can check out the new footage here, here, here and here. Enjoy.

Yup, it’ll be a fine mix of special effects. The trailers look good, good enough for me to get to a theater. I’m going to take a guess, but I think it’ll make more than $48 million.
Shit Campea, you had me worried with that Sentinel footage from last week. This looks a lot more promising. I’ve my tickets booked for opening night so there’s no turning back now.
Although I can honestly say that based on the trailers / TV spots / Jean Grey looking FOXY….. I’m looking forward to it!
This looks like a mess. Here’s my prediction. The love stories (yes, plural love stories) look boring, the dialog is embarassing, the special effects are spotty and the good actors won’t get enough screen time.
I refuse to look at any more spots or pictures. The rollercoaster ride ends here! Instead, I’ll just go and see it.
I think it will be far from perfect, but there will be many more people disapointed this summer after seeing Superman Returns
Word around Youtube is that some people aren’t happy, and just lost their faith in X3. I understand, these TV spots can make or break the viewers. I am as determined as the next person to see this on the opening day. Problem: I never saw any movie on the opening day, so if the film actually makes a big profit, it will be hard for me to get in.
I don’t want to repeat the same story as Vin Diesel, but I am really looking forward to the 50/50 chance that it will suck. I’ll make a big stupid rant on an unlucky website who may not give a damn, but with this possibility and the opening day on Memorial weekend, I can’t wait!
BTW, please tell me that you will do a video review on X3, Campea? PLEASE?!
These clips only reaffirmed what the Sentinel clip introduced. I just saw more of the same lame one-liners and nothing but action. This looks like Xmen has been taken down a few notches to Fantastic Four territory. Maybe they’re marketing to 14 year olds, but they lost me.
how many people besides me said “the sentinel clip was a danger room clip?”
wolverine said “class dismissed.”
people who think this movie is going to be 100% badass awesomeness obviously dont’ remember the cheese factor of the original 2…. but they still worked. and were GREAT fun.
not every film HAS to be perfect, people… fun comes in all shapes and sizes. I seriously think people who let these trailers and spots get to them should just stay away.
I still don’t know what to think about this film. I really want to have hope for this film because i was a big fan of the first two, but some of the clips worry me. I don’t like the cheesy one-liners, I don’t want this film to turn out to be complete cheese!
….. I also agree with charkhammis, X-men is being droped down to fantastic four standard. If they do continue to make x-men sequels or prequels, they should bring it back to the way it was and maybie get Bryan back. Tim Burton may be a good director for X-men, he’s always good at mixing light and dark into his films, which can be good for certain characters eg Nightcrawler, he should be brought back…
Re: The cheese….. C’mon folks! There’s supposed to be a fair amount of cheese in a comic movie. Hell, it’s in the comic book! I can’t wait to see this.
But X2 was not chock full of cheese.
I’m of the opinion that this movie will be all special effects and no story. I want it to be good, but I don’t have much faith. All we see are fights and explosions and bits of love triangles. *sigh* I fear the magic has been lost….
Finally, kim has the same idea I want to see in X4: Tim Burton directing. Hopefully, he’ll keep away from the reimagine stuff (at least focus that on newer villains). I’d like to see him direct and Joss Whedon finally write a script for this (Fox turned him down, TWICE). Whedon has a gift when it comes to X-Men. Sadly, he’s currently working on Wonder Woman.
One more thing I’d like to see is Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen (Holoccaust, Abyss, Mikhail Rasputin, and Mr. Sinister). C’mon, these five villains has a shot to being kick-ass under Burton’s direction. We’ll, one can wish.
Im glad you also have the same idea as me about Tim Burton DarKing! :)
Man, Tim Burton directing X-Men would be TRIPPY. I mean that in the best way possible.
I would LOVE to see Burton direct, but it may not be likely. I hear he’s doing a bio on ‘Ripley’s Believe it or Not’.
X-Men will be a good movie. Do you guys think they will be another x-men after this? look’s like it going to end finally.

I would to see a X-men 4.With the same director as the last.X3 was a incredible movie.I went to go see it on the last day of school. In X4 I would to see Some of the other characters, such as Jubilee,Gambit,Bishop,Blob,Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver. And some of the other major villians, such as Sinster,The horsemen, and Apocalypse.I feel as the last movies focused on Magento.I would also like to see the Sentinels again,I read in a magazine, that creating a Setinel would cost alot so I understand us(The Veiwers)may not see them anymore. It was good to see them in X3.I am glad storm really showed her colors in X3.In the last two she was always in the background, what was with thatBut in the last movie she kicked some butt
