Lady In The Water Trailer
The new Lady in the Water trailer has hit the web. Ok, I like M. Night Shyamalan (although The Village was total garbage), but nothing I’d seen from Lady in the Water has got me even remotely excited about the project…. UNTIL RIGHT NOW!
Man, this trailer look just AMAZING! It has totally changed my perception of what Lady in the Water is. It’s mysterious, scary, other worldly… basically everything you’ve come to expect from an M. Night Shyamalan flick.
So seriously folks… you should go over and check out the trailer. You can see the Lady in the Water trailer over here. Make sure to come back and tell us what you thought of it yourself.

Yeah, the movie looks really good, the name is a bit misleading I think. Looks to be an intelligent movie. I’ve seen Unbreakable and Signs they were all good movies…
didja happen to see m. night in the trailer?
Liked his first movies…hated everything else that followed. To many plot holes in others as well as a plot that was to overly simplistic, especially Signs…aliens hate water…well then why not visit a world that is 2/3 water!!! And the village was derived from so many other Scifi fantasy stories ala tTwilight Zone.
But this movie looks interesting and I like Paul Giammetti. Will wait and see.
I really liked all of M. Night Shyamalan films except for The Village which really dissapointed me alot as I felt like shit had just hit my face. Lady In The Water looks intresting enough to watch in the cinemia.
Shyamalan often appears in his own movies. Im very reserved about this (I remember seeing the trailer for The Village, and I was excited..) – but saying that, I frikken LOVE Giametti – and this guy has a reputation for turning films round and being a damn good actor.
Count me in.
I’m interested and a fan of M. Night’s film – yes, even The Village, but it was definitely the weakest link of his film. Signs had me creeped out for days! Especially since I have a noisey backyard, which resembled the noises you heard in the film. Unbreakable is definitely my favorite of his movies.
This movie gives me the impression of a fairy tale that perhaps goes bad? LoL, who knows, we’ll have to wait and see. I certainly hope it’s good and that it is marketed better than The Village.
Saw the trailer on Ellen.
Interestingly enough this film spun off of a bedtime story that he told his children (yep, his young kids like the scary stuff).
Since most of his films are driven by twists, seeing a trailer isn’t going to tell anyone anything much.
I’ve liked all his films, even The Village.
I can rely on him to try something fresh in an industry of me-too’s and for that, he gets my bum in the seat.
Indeed that was truly awesome! Big MNS fan – cannot wait to see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like you I hated Village and hated Signs. I figured he shot his load with 6th sense and unbreakable. The “monsters” here remind me of the “monster that wasn’t a monster” in The Village (possibly one of the worst movies of all time). I’m a sucker so I’ll probably see this but even the trailer doesn’t make me look forward to it. Monsters from a blue world coming through a swimming pool with a splash like mermaid coming to the nebbish-this could be a disiaster except for 2 things-Giammati and the fact that Night has 2 amazing movies in his resume.
gimme a break I already figured it out, the dog-monster is just adrien brody in a wolfskin
“…with a twist!”
I think M. Night is a tremendous storyteller whose vision and creativity oftentimes become lost in the whole Hollywood marketing hammer.
We’ll be in for a big surprise as usual. I think it’s the first M. Night Shyamalan I’ll end up seeing it theaters. He has a way with story telling and this one seems much more daring then Unbreakable or Signs.l As for The Village… well… nothing much on that one.
I agree…this is nothing as I thought it would be. Looks very good…
The Village was pretty lame, but this looks very interesting.
To Doktorpee and others who may have false information.
Shyamalan is simply resurrecting the fairytale.
1) Fairy tales were originally for adults
2) Fairy tales were violent and sexual. i.e.:
the original Sleeping Beauty (The Sun, Moon, and Talia) is raped by the prince, in Anderson’s Little Mermaid, the character is forced to sacrifice herself to save the life of the prince (she does not have the will to drive the dagger into his heart…) though she does get to be an airy spirit!
Just thought I’d say that
