Why do certain actors get certain treatment? Denzel gets ragged on for the movies he made after winning an Oscar which he (allegedly) didn't deserve. Eddie Murphy gets ragged on for the movies he made after not winning an Oscar, which he allegedly did deserve. Chris Tucker gets whined about as though he was making a bad movie every week, even though he's only made two movies in the last TEN years. Jennifer Hudson gets ragged on because she didn't thank American Idol for telling the country she had no talent. Meanwhile Russell Crowe throws a phone at a hotel clerk, berates the Academy for not recognizing his skill before he made LA Confidential, then abuses his wife, but I don't see anyone on this board going into a blind-rage, hurling scorn on him in a non-stop flood anytime he's in the news with a new movie -even though he hasn't made a good movie since Gladiator and THAT was an undeserved Oscar. Am I missing something here? It would be nice to see a post about someone's latest movie without it turning into a predictable rant. Going out of your way to complain about someone who's done nothing to you and hasn't done anything bad to anyone else for that matter. When you write a four paragraph post about an actor, and all but the last sentance is devoted to nothing but bitching about that actor, that's called obsession. It ain't pretty. It doesn't make Murphy/Tucker/Hudson look petty, it makes the person doing the whining look petty...or worse. None of these people cares what anyone says about them, they're too busy making millions of dollars per picture. So why do the rest of us have to be subjected to a kamikaze torrent of complaint any time their names are mentioned? Just hang a picture of Murphy, Tucker and Hudson on your walls and yell at them for a few hours (maybe the haters should make it a few days) and get it out of your systems already. It would be nice to see a post about someone’s latest movie without it turning into a predictable rant.
