By John Campea - April 11, 2007 - 11:11 America/Montreal

Hey there guys. Just a reminder that the LIVE version of The Movie Blog Uncut is on today, and we’ve got a pretty hot topic going for the show. We’ll talk about a bunch of stuff, but the main focus of the debate and discussion will be this whole hot potatoes of “Should companies like Cleanflicks be allowed to provided people with DVDs that are edited for offensive content?” The debate on the boards has been lively, SO MAKE SURE YOU CALL IN TO JOING THE DISCUSSION!

The show is on at 3pm PST (Los Angeles Time), 6pm EST (Toronto, New York Time).

Are you also going to talk about how Harvey Weinstein is seriously contemplating splitting Grindhouse into two and re-releasing it in light of its poor box office and reports of people leaving the theater after the end of Planet Terror?

Especially in light of the diatribe of a few months ago against the decision to split them up initially in foreign markets. ;)

    Hey BegToDiffer

Read the paragraph at the top of this form. We let EVERYONE disagree… just read all the comments. But if you have a comment for me personally, email it to me. If you can read, it’s all right there in the paragraph. I’d send this to you personally… but you refuse to put in your email address. Surprise surprise.

I’m not against a company editing the movie to make it “clean” and releasing it to their idiot religious right customer base, but only if (a) the company pays the studio/filmmakers/writers a generous fee (b) they heavily disclaim that this is NOT the original version and (c) if they make it clear that the original version is available (e.g. link to buy the original).
