Actually the effective death of Fox Atomic’s horror output is GREAT news for people that actually like real horror movies and not trend-whoring horror-by-committee.

I have to agree with Tarmac on 28. The first was dist. by Fox Searchlight; if there is a third film there’s nothing to say that Searchlight can’t do it again, or the parent company.

Oh by the way Doug, aside from 28 Weeks Later? The films released under the Fox Atomic label not only sucked eggs, but sucked up the yolk within. I’m just thrilled that there will be no Hills Have Eyes 3. This is not a blow for horror. It’s a blow for bad horror.

What bearing will this have on the continuation of the 28 series? If they continue will they be sized down to the style of the original or be bigger in scale and budget like the second?

maybe now that they’re cutting down maybe the next horror flick to come out from them will be one that was fought for heavily b/c the script is that good
