Aliens VS Predator – Requiem Trailer

There is a new Aliens vs Predator Requiem trailer out. Most people didn’t like the first Aliens vs. Predator movie at all. I kind of had a little appreciation for it for what it was, but it’s certainly nothing memorable. This new one will probably end up being even less memorable… but man… even I’ve got to admit that they’ve put together a pretty fun trailer.

They promised that this Aliens vs Predator movie would be loaded to the balls with high intensity violence… lots of movies in production promise that…. but I’ll hand it to them… it looks like Aliens vs Predator Requiem delivers on that promise if nothing else. So now, check out the Aliens vs Predator – Requiem trailer:

It looks like this movie is what AVP wasn’t. I’m really looking forward too this after seeing this.

  2. Alan Foreman says:

I agree with you Melbye, This look better than AVP 1, More Predator kicking ass, Cant wait for it looks awsome!

  3. Robert(wolf) says:

    Badass trailer!!!

I loved the first AVP, but god this one looks ten times better from the trailer!!!

  4. UKAndy616 says:

    Wicked Sick! :)

  5. Tombo says:

Lots of violence and expendable people! This might just end up being fun!

  6. Steven Carroll says:

Looks Good. Much better than the first AVP.

  7. ZOD says:

This looks way better then the fist AVP and I look forward to seeing this at Christmas.

  8. T says:

The only good thing that came from the first AvP, which sucked, was a dvd release of Predator 2. I don’t expect anything good from this unoriginal piece of crap.

  9. Cain says:

I’m pretty sick of “the military is evil and will prefer to kill us all than to risk letting the aliens live” storyline that’s used in 1 out of every 3 action movies these days.

However, it’s still nice to see some hard violence for a movie like this, and you can bet I’ll be there at the theatre. Although I’m not convinced it will be any good yet.

I’m not to sure about this trailer, I loved the Predators movies and the first two Aliens movies, but this looks almost like a torture porn movie. In one part of the trailer it looks like a Predator kills a unarmed girl. I guess I’ll have to see the movie to find out more, but I hope they didn’t change what made the first movies good just to fit more gore in.

  11. Its like they just made Alien 5 and Predator 3..but it’s the same film. It seems to have the feeling of both series, something that AVP lacked. Its Aliens VS Predators VS Humans, which is the way it should have been in the first one (but instead we got the Batman and Robin shot of the Predator and the girl running towards the camera)

  12. Grave says:

Ok I knew from the time I heard AVP was gonna be in Antartica and in some myan temple with arcelogist I knew it would suck. This was the only movie I walked out on and went to the local wal-mart picked up Pedator2 and Aliens so then I can enjoy not only good movies but good action and sci-fi monsters. I heard there was gonna be sequel I was shocked. AVP was a bomb! How could they make a sequel? But looks like they are doing right. #1 fire Paul W.S. Anderson. Worst director ever. Everything he touches is crap. #2 writers that are fans of not only of the A/P movies but, good writers. #3 Blood and guts and action. AVP was 60% non-sense talking. Now this movie is way better. I still like it to be in the future but Im up for modern warfare. I would like to hear or know more of the plot thou. Like what the Aliens are doing on earth and how they get there. Other then that I need to check the couch for 10$ in change.

  13. Joel A. Gustafsson says:

It looks like they’re trying to do the same shift that the Alien-movies did. The first one is claustrophobic and the second one is full out war.

I like the concept of an alien war on earth. In Aliens it was suggested that the aliens could be used as a weapon on earth, and this looks like it, but with the Predator thrown into the mix.

There seem to be a lot of violence; lots of people and aliens dying but unlike other action/horror flicks it looks like quick, painless death in darkness.

I’m gonna see this one, but what I would have loved to see is a future set movie where humans land on the alien home world. That would be something.

    Just my two cents…
    /Joel

  14. Butter On My Popcorn says:

If they would stick witht the Aliens timeline and make the humans space marines this movie would be AWESOME! Unfortunatley this just looks like Jurassic Park but instead of Dinos its Space Aliens.

  15. antropofaag says:

” #2 writers that are fans of not only of the A/P movies but, good writers”

Whell Grave, They whent wrong on that one allready. The kid who wrote this turd also is partly responsible for the biggest crapfest of all time : Armageddon. You people are letting yourself get drawn into the hype to much. Remember when you all thought snakes on a plain was going to be a cool movie.

  16. Al says:

Gweep Wurp the EyeBiter: I notice that too in the trailer when the Predator were killing discriminating left and right. Predator are suppose to follow a strict code of honor but perhaps the unarmed girl is pregnanted by the Aliens so its fair game to kill her.

Butter On My Popcorn: Yeah, it would been whole lot better if there was colonial space marines involved, just like in Aliens. I want to see futuristic weaponry and tough s.o.b soldiers taking on both the Aliens and Predator. This has the potential for a kick ass movie.

  17. Mechopower says:

At least they are taking it back to the “no holds barred” genre of violence that made these movies popular in the first place. Hopefully they will also bring back the actual horror of these beasts. AVP sucked so much ass, I am surprised the directors and writers werent lined up and shot. What would have been nice was to see someone spend the money to get James Cameron or Ridley Scott back on board to do the reinvention of the genre. God only knows the turn around would well pass the money it would cost to get those two back. Then we would truly see the movies brought to life.

  18. Ancey says:

If I’m not mistaken, I believe I saw Sigourney Weaver in one shot near the beginning. I’m especially a fan of the Alien movies, it seems totally different from the first AVP, so who knows, might end up being good, or else it could be bad. Either way, I think I’m neutral on the subject until I hear about reviews for it. I was a bit of a fan of the first AVP, decent movie, not the best, so there’s the inner hope this will be better, and not just gory.

  19. Patrick says:

It looks like they gave up a ton of their money shots during the trailer. I hope they left some stuff to ’shock and awe’ during the film. But they probably had to lay it all down in the trailer, just to get people to come back to the theater, after the first one ran everyone off.

  20. Jay says:

Looks pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.

  21. Don Thiel says:

lookin’ good, I’ll wait and see how a plot-driven traler plays though before I celebrate too much.

  22. Tarmac says:

Got to agree with Al there. Those Predators were definatly offing unarmed and not very threatening people at a spectacular rate. Hope they don’t end up forgetting why the Predators are more honourable and generally easier to vote for.

This almost seems a bit over the top and nasty for the violence too. As a general rule, i’m all for violence, but does this not seem a bit heavy handed? The one guy’s face melting off, the unarmed girl running away and getting pinned to the wall by the Predator disc?

That said, all this has to do to be better than the first one is not to kill off every Predator in two minutes.

  23. venommm says:

when predator stabs that one alien through the jaw to the top of its head i think thats pretty much close to the end cuz you can tell that the alien that gets stabbed is the alien/predator mix from the end of the 1st one that is unless theres more now

  24. DarkKinger says:

Not bad! I can see the style from the new directors. It does have that horror/action thing going on. I also like the tagline in the beginning. [To my memory, the tagline is similar to the early production of Alien 3, "This time, everyone will hear you scream!"]

I didn’t mind AVP. I got a free ticket from Predator 2. I may give this movie another shot, but like last time, I’ll proceed with caution.

  25. Sound Designer Dan says:

They had me when the little kid got freakin’ facehugged.

  26. #007# says:

Definately an improvement from the original, however, some parts a bit of rip-off the PREDATOR movie and a bit of SPECIES type mixed in as well.

Gore+Violence escalated if not over-the-top. Characters seem pretty thin.

  27. shane razey says:

On the right track. Now for the real deal on the day of release.

  28. Roman says:

Not sure how I feel about the Alien/Predator hybrid it shows the predator fighting in the preview. Looks like it could be horribly cheesy. I mean an alien with dreads make me shake my head with dread and the alien definitely has the Predator dreads going on. Looks cool, but watching the trailer frame by frame and getting a better look at the hybrid makes me grimace.

Could be wrong and will totally go see this . . . I mean it’s aliens and predators. Enough said! I hope their love child just looks cool instead of cheesy.

  29. Klendathu says:

The “unarmed” girl clearly has a pistol in her right hand as she’s running down the hall.

  30. Grave says:

Well this is a respons to antropofaag :

I didnt care much for armageddon either but I can watch the movie. Now any film written by Paul Anderson is terrible. Look at his film credits

    AVP – box office bomb
MK armageddon – box office bomb
    Resident Evil – same
Resident Evil A – same again

Has this guy made any movie that didnt bomb? records show…NO
So if I remeber correctly Armaggeddon was a success. But personally i agree that for me Armaggeddon was not great but that was in the past.

  31. John Campea says:

    Hey Grave,

Not that I disagree with you in principle… but your facts are off a little:

Resident Evil – $!02 million world wide on a $33 million budget. That’s no bomb at all.

Resident Evil 2 – $129 million world wide on a $45 million budget. Once again, that’s certainly no bomb

Both those movies suck. But you can’t even come close to calling them bombs.

  32. I have to agree with Patrick on this one…did they just wanna show EVERYTHING, I mean how much more could people could we see die in this flick that we didn’t in that trailer? I look forward to it but I hate that they had to prove to us by showing us almost all the film…

  33. thareb says:

Typical Hollywood faggots substituting quality for gore. AvP went from crap to fucking queer. Friday the 13th meets Alien. Whoopdee fucking doo.

Why the fuck does this story even take place on Earth? If you want gore google “Beheading Videos” and watch the muslims do it for real.

    Fucking retard asshats.
