Fan Expo Update 1
Hey there guys. Well, it’s almost 1am here and I thought I’d show you guys some pics I took today at the Toronto Fan Expo. The festival is already great fun. If you’re in the Toronto area, I really suggest coming down tomorrow to take some of the festivities in. I’ll be doing a LOT more updating tomorrow from the event, but for now, here are some pics to give you a feel for what’s going on:

There was a HUGE World of Warcraft playing area with tons of computers set up for people to play. Then, there was this big main stage area for “pros” to play and people could watch them in action on giant screens.
Me with one of my truly good friends in the online movie world, Michael from MoviesOnline and HorrorMovies.Ca This meeting of two obviously giant minds then headed out to the local Irish pub to finish off the evening with some beers. Everyone enjoyed some solid ale… except me… I had diet coke.
So there you have it. Day 1 was really just about getting a feel for the place and walking the floor. Tomorrow we’re back in the morning and we’re going to try a few things. Keep checking back throughout the day Saturday for updates, video, and maybe even an impromptu Audio Edition live from the Expo.
Man, is it me or the Next Generation people aging faster than the original cast?

Hey John when I was leaving from the special preview for the expo I saw you walking into the Media Room 712 I think it was with Serena behind you. I would’ve come up to say hi but you went in there before I got the chance.
That was a fun day yesterday. That Guitar Hero II stage next to where World of Warcraft and Quake were was awesome. I got up there and played Sweet Child O Mine. Tons of fun.
I would pay good money to see Doug get up there and play Strutter by Kiss.

Jake is 18 now, according to IMDB. God that’s sad. Everything else at the expo looks fun, though.
