Iron Man Trailer
Here it is folks. The first Iron Man Trailer. it’s mostly footage from the Comic Con stuff… but not quite as cool. Just trust me folks… the context the Comic Con footage put it all is made it all look MUCH better. Still, this trailer is pretty sweet.

Campea, in case you did’nt notice, there was an additonal shot in the trailer when Stark says “to the future” he’s drinking scotch.

You’re going to fall off your chair, but the weapons monologue is giving me my first sense of concern about this film.
In the Comic-Con footage Downey Jr gave the speech with much more force and confidence, but for some reason the take shown in the new trailer (and which I assume will be in the movie) comes across much, much weaker to me.

I agreed the context of it being shown at comic-con must have made it that much more mind blowing but this still rocks!!!!!

I’ve never read an Iron Man comic in my life so i have no real investment in this not sucking, but it does have my attention. I just love the fact that we see a real guy in robotic body armour. I’ll be there.
i hate the use of the iron man track but thats just niggling im am concerned that the flying looked kinda crap im putting it down to low res of youtube and staying optimistic

That monologue sounded more forceful because it wasn’t being drowned out by the damn music. The trailer is the same as the comic-con footage, except not done as well. I dunno why, but I liked the way that footage was presented more than I like this trailer.
Unfortunately the trailer does nothing for me. It actually seemed more promising before Downey put on that ridiculous Iron Man armor. Are we so starved for escapism that we succumb to nonsense like this? I can’t help think of the hundreds of great movie projects that are shelved and never get made. Instead we are deluged with bad movies based on bad comic books. In fact 90% of all Marvel’s comics are better used as ass wipe. What’s next, Thor? God I hope not.
I liked this trailer it was long for the first one but it was still good I like how they dident give much of the movie away just what they wanted to tell it looked good i just hope they don’t make it kid frendley.

it was a good trailer but I wasn’t feeling the Iron man song it felt a little hokey…other then that it looks like it has potential…
For those who have seen it at Comic Con, was it not on a biggerscreen than a YouTube window? When (if) you see it tonight on the TV set, it may look slightly bigger than a YouTibe video. When it goes on apple trailers in HD…well, you get the idea. Shrink it down to YouTube size, it will look less impressive.
Oh, is it likely a better trailer will show up by the end of the year of our Lord 2007? Or sometime early 2008? Will the temp music cease to exist?

I know nothing about Iron Man so I have absolutely no expectations for this movie. With that said, the trailer looked pretty freaking sweet to me. Robert Downey Jr. has great charisma. Based on this trailer, I would go see it.
