There’s no deying it. He’s pretty close to what I imagines Slughorn to be… …Maybe he should gain a few pounds? Oh, and by the way: Slughorn is still around in the final book.

Broadbent’s an excellent addition to the Harry Potter series. With each new film I think it just gets better and better.

Harry Potter is one of the few series that seems to get BETTER as it goes on. Order of the Phoenix was the best of the bunch so far, and I can’t wait to see how they keep going. I’m gonna need tissues for the final film, I know it:(

I’ve always enjoyed the Potter films. One of the reasons is the outstanding talent they’ve assembled – Richard Harris (rest in peace), Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Kenneth Brannagh, Emma Thompson and the great Gary Oldman amongst others. Getting Broadbent is another feather in their casting cap. While not physically perfect for the role of Slughorn, I can’t think of a better actor for the role.
