I Am Legend Poster

By John - October 11, 2007 - 05:35 America/Montreal

Michael was kind enough to send me this new version of the I Am Legend Poster. It’s not bad… I mean it does what a poster needs to do… it communicated the essence of the movie, highlights the star and is generally pleasing to look at. Nothing too special but it’s pretty good.

I’ve got to admit that I’m looking forward to I Am Legend more and more… and I’m not sure why really. It’s not like we haven’t seen this movie before a few times already… but still, it’s looking good to me. Check it out.

  1. It looks good to me and yes nothing special but I’m not sure what else they could do.

    Its got me interested anyway…

This is the exact same as the teaser poster we saw a while ago, just with a different background. Meh.

  3. Mr. James says:

John, have you ever read the book? I’m interested to hear what people think that have since I can’t imagine the ending staying the same as it is in the book. I hope they do leave it as is because its so well written and the ending is so just and perfect for the commentary of the book and it’s themes. But the ending is soooo not a Hollywood ending! However, I’m thinking of another Will Smith movie that was a horrible book adaptation, iRobot. I’m psyched to see this but I’m keeping my hopes dampened a bit so I’m not disappointed.

I still don’t get why people are so highly anticipating this movie? Is the book incredibly popular (I didn’t even know it was a book until the post above mine)? So far it’s only been teaser trailers I’ve seen that show nothing too interesting. He’s the last man alive and there are creatures that we don’t even know what they look like. I’m not saying it looks bad…I’m just saying I don’t get all the hype already built up for this movie.

  5. AjaxLou says:

This is what the second or third adaptation of this book?

I’m still waiting for one that at least pretends to be based on the source material beyond the title.

  6. Jeff says:

I’ve read the book, and I really am not too hopeful that this is going to be anything like the book. Hearing that the vampires aren’t going to be in any way intelligent isn’t too cool.

I feel this will be as far from the source material as the movie I, Robot was. Oh well… in the stead of an I Am Legend movie actually based off of the book, hopefully it will at least be well made and fun.

  7. hotmale says:

eh…its a vampire movie? I would of never guessed.

If that’s the case, I’m looking more forward to 30 Days of Night. Mainly because Ben Foster(3:10 to Yuma, X-Men 3, Hostage) is in it as a bad guy.

  8. Mr. James says:

HOTMALE, as others have already said in this post, there are at least two other movie adaptationsof this movie and neither of them have lived up to the book’s story. It’s a good read. Not that long and fun for the time it was written in. I think the hype is built up from the fans of the book that are at least hopeful that this time they might stick to the source material and give us all a very visually appealing and well-told version of this story. I’m doubtful but I’ll still go see it.

  9. Marc says:

Is it only me, or does this poster resemble the Road Warrior poster?

  10. #007# says:

Will Smith’s next mediocre of a movie in likeness of I, Robot.

  11. Marko says:

The CGI Characters were right out of iRobot. Silly ending. Completely unnecessary. He could have gone with them. Could have been a half an hour longer and gone deeper.
