I’m getting really sick of them selling movies on the tagline of “From the guy who brought you…. *insert: Knocked Up / Superbad / Anchorman / Talladega Nights / 40-Year-Old Virgin / Blah Blah Fucking Blah*”

This trailer did not make me laugh once. Not once. The theater I saw it in did not laugh. Not once. If this turns out to be hilarious, then the trailer editor needs to find another job.

It’s really good to see John C. Reilly’s name above the title of a movie, but this doesn’t really look all that funny. Curious to see what people make of it though when it comes out.

And it is a head-turner of a poster, guaranteed to get a laugh or two in Multiplex lobbies around the country.
