I’m sorry to say that Shrek 3 was a lousy movie! :( I don’t think that 4 and 5 will be better than the great 2 or the almost as great 1.

I didn’t hate the third one as much as other people did but it certainly wasn’t very memorable.

Hopefully they’ll think up some better stuff for the fourth.

I think the problem with the Shrek series (despite my love for the first one) is that it relies too much on pop culture references to be memorable. Another problem is that the series is that it’s already on autopilot. They think that “Oh, it’s Shrek so it’s gonna make a shitload of money!” The third installment has already made $795 million worldwide so a fourth one is already inevitable. It’s sad that a great work of animation like Ratatouille is always lose to the fugly ogre like Shrek.

The Problem with the first 2 was that they are only funny the first time you see them, Shrek 3 wasn’t funny at all. I have serious doubts number 4 and 5 will be good at all.
