Here is the first look at Speed Racer folks…we were made aware of these pictures though our friends at cinematical:
I am not very excited about these shots. This looks like a horrible sequel to the Mario Brothers movie. I guess we will wait and see, but this is not the vision I had in my mind when this film was announced.
Wow! Those look really bad. My anticipation for this movie just went down by half and it wasn’t very high to start with. And why does it look like a very poor Tron rip off? Maybe it’s the helmet. You also have to love the look of determination on his face in the close-up scene. This is going to be a very bad movie….

OH HELL NAW!!! See thats what happens when u do a car movie all on green screen. Those pics look sooo bad, the close up shot, the family shot. Damn so much for that . It looks like a live-action version of that old hot wheels cartoon, does the story take place in the future. lol….damn we even managed to screw up speed racer….bravo hollywood….bravo
IMO: those marvelous brothers should of been working on original epic sci-fi instead of this stupid bullshit.

In all fairness I think we will have a much better idea when we get a trailer. I will admit, it seems to keep the spirit of the cartoon. Im not blown away at all, but I can see it looking cool, especially during the racing scenes.

I’m going to go against the grain here and actually say I really like what they are doing. Sure this could look like any other live action movie. No, instead they are going with a unique look with a really interesting colour palette. Yes its unique but that doesn’t make it bad.

Wow, the first 2 pics look amazing, I absolutely LOVE the colours; the exact definition of eye-candy. That’s one of the reasons I love video games, and this looks a lot like one. The last two photos simply suggest it will probably be more of a comedy than a serious movie.
I am shocked at how crappy those photos look. My jaw hit the floor. I’m in awe at how cock-shit bad those photos look. It’s like staring at the devil’s face.
