I’m puzzled why people enjoyed the waitress so much. I’ll have to search for your review and see what you saw in it. I couldn’t get through it.

Gotta love the Rat. Nice to see that you loved Waitress as well; what a great film. I really liked the homage to Chaplin with the final shot. Classic.

as to wide release determination, from Rotten Tomatoes: “Limited releases are defined as opening in 500 or less theaters at initial release. Platform releases, movies initially released under 500 theaters but later receiving wider distribution, fall under this definition”

You are so right John, this film gets better with repeated viewings. It’ll win the ghetto “Best Animated” category, but should at least be in consideration for Best Picture.

I guess it’s not considered a “wide” release. Shame.
