I'm also a Virginian (yea there isn't much choice for not being at least knowledgeable about Nascar here) but I grew up idealizing this guy because there was a roughness to him and the way he drove. However, this doesn't mean I think they should go ahead and make a movie on him. There's already been a film like what Tony said and a pretty extensive documentary. I think it's time to stop there, the man was great but honestly a movie on him would be something I'd wait for on dvd only. I’m an avid Dale Sr. and Jr. fan. I can take or leave the sport myself, although I do acknowledge it <i>as</i> a team sport. I went with some friends to their headquarters after Dale died just to see what the fuss what about. The best way that I can describe it is that his death was like Princess Di to rednecks. People here LOVE the guy, and I literally cannot drive down the street without seeing somebody with a 3 decal on their car.
