I really admire Diablo Cody. I discovered her pussy ranch blog many years ago. I’m really impressed by the way she compiled a whole lot of personal, private, anonymous writing online and then dared to risk everything in marketing it to the masses.

I really want to live in a society where someone with that amount of boldness, and will to express herself, is eventually rewarded by great successes as the result of her talents and risks.

Just today I learned that she met her former husband on the internet… and that, too, underscores how earthy Diablo Cody is. She came from authentic roots and basically created her own stardom – and that’s the best way!!!

Go Diablo!!

I did some (very interesting) research and discovered that Cody is indeed the hottest winner in this category of all time. Sara Polley would probably also have been if she´d won for Away from Her.

Unless you prefer, say, Woody Allen that is.

I can’t claim credit for it. The radio show I listen to uses “roast beef” and it has always cracked me up.

Doug by the way, you can use JSUOMK (Just Spit Up On My Keyboard) instead of LOL or ROTFL. JEOMK is another useful one (Just Ejaculated On My Keyboard). JEOMK comes courtesy of a VERY old Onion bit. Like most American diets, I’m full of useful recycled material.

Ahh good to hear that “Roast Beef” is used elsewhere. I usually just use that description with my male friends and my girlfriend.

Mr N, I know you’re a Canadian, but it’s not just this site that these “nude” shots are showing up on.

I am British, and we are born with our clothes on. It’s so we don’t offend the Queen you know (I know she’s your Queen too, but she lives here, there’s a chance she could be passing the maternity ward).
