I don't know if you've seen the trailer for this but it's up on Twitchfilm.net I was "this" close to getting a copy on DVD from a co-worker who was in Brazil but she said that the DVDs were unsubtitled. The point of the movie is not do force one or another point of view, but simply to show a very realistic picture of Rio from a few years ago. I was actually going to suggest you guys to watch elite squad because i thought it was an amazing movie. I am not sure i thought it was an amazing movie because of the fact that i live in Rio, so i am really looking forward to what critics think of the movie.
