I am a trailer editor and the one the Key Arts Awards are a snore and a bore. The Golden Trailers are geared to a consumer audience and are a whole lot of fun.

They already have a "top-drawer" award for this sort of thing. It's called the Key Art Awards and it is sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter. The last 5 or so years it's been very swank with A-List presenters and hosts (Sharon Stone, Jack Black, Sarah Silverman, Toby Maguire, Guillermo Del Torro, Kevin Smith, etc. etc.) not to mention all the top directors (Ridley Scott, Michael Bay to name just two). And for the last couple of years it's also been held at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland where the Oscars take place.

I have been saying for years that people who edit trailers should be up for an Oscar of their own.

I went to see "The Musketeer" because the trailer looked cool.
