The book was fantastic, especially me being a single father of a boy in the neighborhood of the age of the boy in the book, even though we never find out many details. I have a feeling that Hollywood is going to mess this book up. They will have to add some explosions and an explanation where there should not be. Part of the magic of the book was not knowing what happened.

on a more serious note, Guy Pierce is horrible. unwatchable. and he’s short. no short person can be a good actor. excpet Vern Troyer. he’s awesome.

Yes it was a good read.

It will be interesting to see how hollywood will go with it. Will they stick to the dialog focused father & son story with the pockets of action like the book… or will they try to make it road warrior like, which there’re hints of happening around them but is not what the book is focused directly on?

The book was awesome and for all the haters out there, it’s hilarious that you say it sucked.

It won a Pulitzer Prize fro crying out loud…it was amazing.

Since none of you have read the book, you should know that it has almost no climax. And is pretty much, them traveling past all the cool stuff.

I dont know anything about the book but Canukclou scared the hell of me above.
I like Guy Pearce since MEMENTO,and im stil waiting for his jump for the stardom.
lets hope this one goes well.

I wonder who he’s playing? There aren’t many characters in the book.

I think it could make a great movie if they do it right. And people who had a problem with “the ending” of NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN will shit their pants in frustration from this one. Hopefully they will encourage this by advertising like it’s MAD MAX.

The novel was written by the guy who wrote ‘No Country For Old Men’ and the movie is being directed by the guy who made ‘The Proposition’. Now this news about Pearce. So far it sounds great.

WHAT?! Suspense? This book would never have been as big as it was without the “Oprah’s Book Club” sticker plastered on it in every Walmart across America. The book sucked, the pace was awful and the movie will suck just as bad. Prove me wrong Hollywood, make a quality film out of this stinker!
