You guys are idiots, seriously. After reading some of your comments, you missed the point and the plot of the movie. First, in order for the plot to even work, you have to set up the foundation for Ashley and Henry. Why would you include Eva Longoria’s character in that? Simply put you wouldn’t. Bottom line, my girlfriend and I both enjoyed the film. Of course Eva looks hotter than Ashely, but because the film personalizes theromance between Ashley and Henry, the audience wants the two of them to be together in the end. In an earlier post, someone makes the comment that this movie makes men look perfect. How’s that?? Jason Biggs’ character obviously made a huge mistake by lying for a long point of time. How does that make him look perfect?? When Ashley dates the guy after her and Henry split, he makes a classic guy’s move by trying to get into her place. That’s slick, right? I mean come on people. In order to make this movie work, they had to personalize and moreso humanize the characters. It worked for us.

I went to see over her dead body with my boyfriend on February 1st when it first came out at the wonderful Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama on DLP screen. Over Her Dead body stars Eva Longoria, Paul Rudd, Lake Bell, Lindsey Sloane, Steven Root and Jason Biggs. The movie was a Romantic Comedy with a hint of irony. Out of a ten I gave it a five because it needed more work, it could have been more comical and not as boring. My favorite part was when Ashley (Lake Bell) and Henry (Paul Rudd) started developing chemistry because they make a cuter couple then Eva Longoria. I wanted to see this movie because I liked Eva Longoria but was extremely disappointed in the role they asked her to play. She had to dumb herself down for the part and doing that is never worth doing the movie. I did not like the movie; I was not impressed at all. It made women have a bad image and made men look perfect. This movie made me realize that sometimes reality can be more fun and more pleasing then we take it to be. This movie did not have enough effort from the actresses. They made the characters in my opinion to fake and too unrealistic to look up to.

You knew this movie was bad without seeing it becasue of the poster. Look at Longoria’s hair… It is ‘hanging sideways’ when it should be hanging down unless the laws of gravity don’t apply to her. She’s beautiful, but looks stupid with the bad photoshop…

I am a film critic for my university newspaper, and this is the only movie I have ever given a rating of 0 to. It is that bad. It is basically the abortion of cinema.
