Depending on the angle they approach it, I could see a mellowed-out version hitting the screen with a PG-13 or R rating, while still keeping some of the core elements that make the comic so great. This is likely what is going to happen, similar to what I am seeing with Watchmen. At the same time, I really wouldn't mind seeing a NC-17 or NR (Not Rated) version that does stay true to the comic source; violence, sex, drugs, blackmail, and even moral dilemmas and a love story. It would likely be a low-budget release (so cheesy special-effects), but I'd go see it anyhow. I’m kind of divided about a movie based on “The Boys.”

I am a little worried though, I want them to stay faithfull to the original comics but they are so viceral & violent I cant see Columbia making a movie that nasty. It is such a shame that one of the most original, dark and fierce comics will probably slip-by-unnoticed by the masses when it's released on the big screen. It is now with Dynamite, so going to DC and setting them on fire about how they allowed this to become a movie will do nothing.
