Thanks Doug, that's right, it's England that has a real bad creationism problem. Anyway, I appreciate reading those words from an official Movie Blogger, I only wish we could get them into the correct forum. Oh well, thanks again.

I believe evolution is fact. We do not have a problem with ID in Canada like you do in America, our country is much more secular.

I know ID wants equal footing in the classroom and the is nonsense because as you have mentioned, it is a fringe belief in the scientific community. We do not teach children fringe beliefs in school, we teach them the accepted scientific truths of the day.

As I have said in a previous post Pope John Paul 2 proclaimed evolution was most certainly a fact. When the Pope supports your science, you know you have quite the argument.

The overwhelming majority of scientists believe in evolution as a fact. It works, has worked and will continue to work.

Doug. I'm glad Ben had a chance to speak his mind, as everyone should. I think a great place to lay down the opposite view is in the comment section. I did a lot of work in transcribing and replying to Ben's statements. The fact that I can't publish them makes me feel like a looser. A lonely internet looser.

And when I say I don't think you guys did a great job in confronting IDers, I don't mean any disrespect. I think the story is valid as a movie related piece, and that its not your job to know every rebuttal to every IDer position. It is very frustrating, because ID is a very fringe, very duplicitous attempt to introduce Creationism back into American public schools. Its a subject much bigger and more important than most movie opinion, I'm afraid. Don't you guys have similar problems with creationism in Canada?

I certainly disagree with everything Ben said but also wanted him to say his piece. I figured debate would continue in the comments section. I am not sure why they have been turned off, I am also unable to post.

Hey, why did you turn off the comments for the Ben Stein interview. I did some work that I'd like to share. Other than Doug not letting Ben Stein get away with saying that Darwinists helped Hitler exterminate the Jews, you guys didn't do a great job of confronting the people that Ben Stein represents.
