Toy Story 3 in 2010
Sequels are always a risky business, and as most of you know, most of the time the end up being a mistake. But once in a while… a very RARE thing happens. A sequel comes along that actually surpasses the original. What is even more rare is when that happens, and the original was already a beloved and brilliant film on its own. The Toy Story franchise is such a franchise. Both film were genius beyond imagination, with Toy Story 2 being one of the only films in history to hold a perfect 100% rating on RottenTomatoes even after its theatrical run.
So obviously with a franchise like that… being produced by the best film studio in the business today (Pixar, who still hasn’t made anything less than a brilliant film) there is good reason to be excited about the fact that Toy Story 3 is heading our way (in 3D no less). Toy Story 3 was supposed to come 2009, but now they’re saying it’s going to be a 2010 release instead.
Oh well… we wait another year. But no worries, I have absolutely zero doubt that it will be well worth the wait.
I love Pixar, but I have to say that Cars was underwhelming and subpar (at least for them).
That said, I am so there for Toy Story 3(-D).
Toy Story 3 has long been planned for 2010. 2008 is Wall-E, 2009 will be Up, and 2010 will be TS3.
I hope its a worthy film and creates an excellent trilogy, not a rehash of the ‘lets goes rescue so and so’ thing.
yea dylan cars was pretty disappointing compared to pixars other productions……but toy story is a classic idea and u can do a lot with talking toys….hell yea toy story 3!! i was pretty happy when i saw buzz and woody during the Wall-E commercial……a group of grown men saying “OH!” when we saw buzz and woody….lol
Sequels: “most of the time the end up being a mistake”, not for the fat-cats with the cheque books.. Summer of 3s… bah!
