Crank 2 Details

I loved the first Crank movie. I remember me and Rodney (TMB writer) went to see it and we just yacked about it the whole way home. It was fun, didn’t take itself TOO seriously and just accelerated the whole way through the movie. We dug it.

Anyway, as most of you know there is indeed a Crank 2 on its way, and it seems a few tid bits about the movie have made its way onto the net. This part comes from TheBadAndUgly:

We’re about to spoil the first movie for you, but Chev falls out of a helicopter and makes a long, touching phone call to his girlfriend. Which is where Spoiler TV picks up.

STORY: In spite of having fallen a mile from a helicopter at the end of CRANK, Chev Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

Not only that, but the Chinese mobster that steals Chev’s heart has another interesting little twist about him on the casting sheet:

Hu Dong: Chinese Male, 100 years old, this aged gangster is the leader of the Triad gang in Southern California. Rejuvenated after getting Chev’s high-powered heart transplanted into his sunken chest, and horny as a 16 year old, he is lured into Doc Miles’ clutches by the seductive Vanilla

So i suspected a while ago that the film might have something to do with stealing Chev’s heart. There’s only two things I still don’t understand:

1) Why would a Chinese mobster give Chev a fake heart to keep him alive instead of just letting him die after taking his real heart?

2) How the hell does he survive a fall from the helecopter??? (That’s really the big question)

Oh well. Crank directors Neveldine and Taylor will be in studio with us Tomorrow night when we have Milo Ventimiglia in, so I’ll ask them at that time… although they probably won’t tell me anything.
