The "magic" and feel of the movie would be thrown off since the movies are supposed to tell you a collective story that intertwines together . Unlike james bond movies where story lines are always different and characters change from movie to movie. So in all i CAN imagine a new Gandalf, but i just don't want to. also, what do you mean?
