Hey Doug

I wouldn’t take that five dollar bet because I also happen to agree that the movie will most likely suck balls.

The one thing that I think is going to ruin it for me is that different actors will be playing Superman and Batman. This just doesn’t sit right with me given how much I enjoy the current versions of the two franchises.

Regardless of that fact and the fact that when I first heard about it I thought it was a bad idea I still feel myself being sucked in.

I have to remind myself however that I felt the same way about AvP: Requiem and was completely and utterly dissapointed and pissed that that movie sucked so hard.

The truth remains that I have a guarded optimism about the new Justice League movie.

I think Iron Man is going to be the best superhero movie of the year followed closely by TDK. I’ll bet anyone $5.00, no make that $7.50 who disagrees.

I fucken rule.

Before I get myself banned from TMB, I would like to apologize for the “retarded” comment. Not that anyone cares but I had a bad day yesterday…

Obviously, I’ve been a TMB reader for some time and I keep coming back so I guess I’m a fan. I think that John, Doug and crew are great and I have always respected their opinions.

I especially thing that Doug is hilarious; although the whole Patrick Swayze cancer rant ALMOST went too far, kind of like certain moments on Family Guy where you think “Wow did they just say that?”

Excuse me, Ransom? We label a movie before we hear anything because we’re rightfully skeptical about it working. Lets face it, there shouldn’t be a JLA film at the same time there is Batman and Superman movies being made that has nothing to do with Justice League. If they can prove us wrong and make JLA into a good film, that’s great. Until then, this seems to be a potential ‘Batman & Robin’ or ‘Superman Lives’ revision.

As for that “retarded” statement, this isn’t the site to make it. I have seen plenty of videos and comments on Youtube that falls under that category (and trust me, they push it too far). We have a right to express opinions on movies that are being/already made, but don’t try to bash others because of it. Bashing someone over opinions is looked down upon, and for good reason.

There HAS been indication of the story and plot. They said it was going to be along the lines of a love story.

Doug is completely right – so far all indications of the movie look like a Smallville version Justice League.

I’ve been a reader of TMB for a long time (just became a writer for Screen Rant) and I wouldn’t want to be the guy to call John, Doug & Co. names.

From my own experience, they’ve been above and beyond respectful and nice to their readers. If you want go around name-calling and what no, go to CHUD (not a strike against Devin & Co. but that’s not unusual over there).
