Cera didn’t play the same character in Juno and Superbad rewatch it. Anyways John will probably complain that the movie being cliche with the ex boyfriends and all, but Edgar Wright is an amazing writer.

That’s what I was gonna say – Cera seems to have played the same exact role in the last two films he did – will he do it again in this one?

Gotta agree with Jason Seaver. I don’t really think he fits the role of Scott Pilgrim. Doug’s choices don’t fit the role at all.

If you’ve never read the Scott Pilgrim series, I highly recommend it. They’re a little far fetched but really fun. I would describe it as a hipster living in a video game world.

Well, part of the fun is that in the comic, Scott is kind of a scrawny little guy, and comments like “but Scott’s the best fighter in the province!” sound weird.

Also, in the comics, he only fights one evil ex per book. “Precious Little Life” doesn’t have much fighting at all until the end.

I don’t really see Cera as right for this, though – Scott’s a much more outgoing, and kind of dim, guy while Cera is often the straight man.
