Dear Patrick and family, The news of your cancer coming on the heels of Jett Travoltas death is hard to absorb indeed. As a Buddhist practioner, though, I have to say, despite the many well intentioned comments, that there are many and diversified ways to challange this, but, your own personal beliefs are most important. None of us is immune, or knows, when our personal missions are complete, but, if we have done our best, than, that is good enough! Look at the legacy of Dana and Christopher Reeves, what an incredible example for us to follow. We shall watch you, with love and prayers, and thank you for the great priveledge to know what incredible people you are. Please be confident, that you HAVE!!!! made a difference in our lives.

Just a note of support for Patrick and his family. This past weekend we buried my ex-wife Sheri who finally lost the fight against cancer and liver failure. Butcourage to you all – the fight is a powerful thing. Sheri was told 13 years ago that she would have an absolute maximum of 2 years according to the medical profession. Her positive attitude, strength and determination lead her to volunteer as usual at a women’s center in our city just 6 days before she died. Her work was an inspiration to others but so was her attitude and never-quitting approach to life. Hope to still be ready silly, self-appointed medical professionals in te tabloids speculating about your diagnosis and prognosis in thriteen years time Patrick.

I know there are many people who are suffering from cancer or who have lost someone from cancer. I lost my Mother also many family members. Growing up watching Patrick on TV makes it seem like another family member with cancer. My heart and prayers are with him and his family. God will walk each step with you Patrick,and like he said when you only see one step of footprints ,remember , that is when he is carrying you. Stay strong and God bless you each moment of the day. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Patrick and family,

I would like to say there are lots of fans praying for you and your family and wishing you a speedy recovery. Hoping to see you up on that silver screen again soon.

I lost my 95 year old grandmother to breast cancer a few years ago and i know how trying it can be for the victim and their family. I mention this only to say, try to keep your chin up and keep fighting. This is a wage of battle but a war that I pray you will win.

Thank you for all of the hours of enjoyment that you have provided not only for my family but for all of those families around the world.

My dad passed from colon cancer that was undiagnosed for years, I feel he gave up in the end

I wont give up and signed up for cryonics but hope never to use it, its a last resort.

I wish you the best and hope for a speedy recovery.
