Steve Zahn Joins The Cast of ‘The Perfect Getaway’
I really dig Steve Zahn! He’s an actor who although is known for his comedic slapstick humor, has shown a lot of versatility through the years in dramatic roles. Now he has another non comedy to add to his filmography. The actor has just signed on to star in the thriller, ‘The Perfect Gateway,‘ which is to be directed by David Twohy. (Director of ‘Pitch Black.’)
Moviehole.net gives us these details:
Zahn joins the previously announced Timothy Olyphant in “The Perfect Getaway”, which revolves around two newlyweds on their honeymoon in Hawaii who run into two hikers who turn out to be vicious killers.
Zahn is part of the honeymooning couple; Olyphant is one of the killers.
Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant together in a thriller? I am so there! Honestly, this sounds like ‘Kalifornia’ meets ‘The Hitcher,’ which to me sounds like an amazing premise already. Timothy Olyphant has proven that he can play a convincing bad guy in his previous roles, (’Scream 2,’ ‘Die Hard 4′, and ‘Go’ just to name a few) and Steve Zahn has proven he can play scared sh*tless roles from his performance in 2001’s ‘Joy Ride.’
The film goes into production at the end of the month in Puerto Rico and Hawaii, and I am looking forward to hearing more news about this thriller.

He is a little annoying when he plays comedic roles. And watching interviews with him, he seems the same way in real life…little annoying. As a serious actor, however, he is really talented. He won me over in Rescue Dawn.
this guys a major creep ball! if i ever saw him around schools in my county i’d call the freaken cops!
i dunno i think he’s pretty good in his comedy roles, i watched Sahara and he was awesome in that. there is a werid crazy gint in his eye though like he could be an evil mastermind!! :D
It was an honor to see Steve work in person, I always knew him for his comedy but in this action movie I saw a man with a lot hidden talent, Steve it was my honor to be part of the team, My roll was not much but I did got out in the big waves at Aguadilla.
You are welcome to Puerto Rico any time and Thanks for teaching me.
