‘The Ruins’ Pics!

By Serena - March 7, 2008 - 08:21 America/Montreal

Shocktillyoudrop.com has snagged up some killer stills of the upcoming horror film, ‘The Ruins.’

Considering I just read the book this movie is based off, I can already tell the movie is staying pretty close to the source material. Let me tell you, if the movie is anything like the book, be prepared for some nauseating and gory moments that you will make you wish you could forget. (It might give the ‘Hostel’ and ‘Saw’ movies a run for their money.) Click HERE for more pics!

‘The Ruins’ which stars Jenna Malone, Jonathan Tucker, Shawn “iceman” Ashmore, and Laura Ramsey opens up this April 4th, 2008.

What’s in the hole? I know! ;)

  2. Gfunk says:

Nice… I am actually in the middle of reading this book, so looking forward to the movie.

  3. Serena says:

    Gfunk,

    Which part are you at?

  4. CW05 says:

    Poor Pablo. :(

  5. Josh says:

Not to spoil too much, but Scott Smith (who penned the original novel) has switched up the fates of various characters. For instance, while Eric is “infected” in the book, it’s a different person in the movie, and so on.

  6. Serena says:

    @ Josh,

Yeah, you can tell from the trailer alone, that some characters get infected differently.

  7. Norm says:

I’ll past if its like those slash porn movies.

  8. AjaxLou says:

Its no slasher flick but it is intense. It should be good – his other book was Raimi’s – A Simple Plan.

  9. I’ll past if its like those slash porn movies.

What the hell has happened to Jena Malone? That girl has serious acting chops, yet she’s reduced to appearing in dreck like this?! That makes me sad.

  11. Stormy70 says:

If it is half as creepy as the book, then this will be awesome. Intensity is the key for this movie to do well.

    Poor Pablo!

I just saw my first preview for the move and I can NOT wait to see it! I hope they try to stay true with the book
