i don’t know simon pegg but based on his pictures online i would say he seems a bit old for the part. i thought tintin was in his early 20s. when i first heard the news about thomas sangster i thought he looked too young to play tintin, but i think he’s a great actor. jamie bell seems ok as tintin too. also a great actor.

Sluaghtopsy what r u on about he looks more like Tintin than i ever thought any real person could. Certainly better than jamie bell or simon pegg!!? Altho he does look quite young but so long as his voice has brokenhe should b perfect. All i can say is thank god they aren’t making it totally cgi. I hope it’s not going to be too 3D because i think that could ruin it a bit. I cant really imagine tintin in 3d. Maybe they’ll use the cgi to flatten it abit like in A Scanner Darkly.
Does anyone else here think the books r brilliant but the cartoon series is shite? I actually can’t watch it.

I recon they should keep searching for different actors. that kid looks Nothing like tintin. and they could actually find someone who looked like captain haddock,If they keept searching. Just coz he voiced golem and Kong they want him voicing ‘Blistering Blue Barnicles! i honestly think they should keep searching for an entire different cast, or atleast make the entire movie in CGI and get the orriginal voice actors in to do it.
but alas. I’m sure they will mess it up. just like every other comic book turned movie, there will always be somthing wrong with it.

Simon Pegg as Tintin!? Get the fuck out of here. How embarrassing would that be … for everyone. I think this is good casting, but I have absolutely no interest in seeing a Tintin movie.
