Indy 4 was OK and I am glad they did it. I liked the whole idea of having HF playing a 20 years older Indy and the movie came out very well in this regard. I do believe though that 4 is enough. There is no point in doing a Indiana Jones movie without Ford playing the lead and making another one with the then 60 years old Indy would likely turn out like total self derision. Please don’ t start some“ son of Idiana Jones” series with Shia. He did good in 4 but its time to move on.

That’s the conspiracy theory Kristina. I don’t believe Indy’s gonna die though (i sound like Jar Jar).

And NBA kid, they can’t just use Darabon’t script. His and all the subsequent ones have used the same magical maguffin per Lucas’ instructions.

Harrison and Speilberg should have thought of this as they were making “Crystal skull”.
That way they could have wrote a cliffhanger type ending.

I also will not accept another person for an older Indy. I WILL accept another actor for “Young Indiana Jones” because it’s already been done, and obviously Harrison Ford can’t play a 20 or 30 year old.

But Harrison IS Indiana Jones, no one else is.

YES. DO IT NOW. And bring back Darabont’s script (which was apparently rejected because of how Darabont treated the relationship between Indy and his brother, who was supposed to be Kevin Costner). Or another script by him.

I will NOT accept a movie franchise like Indiana Jones being “carried on” by Shia. I love the guy as an actor, but no go. No. Absolutely not. Fuck you.

Also, just because Harrison is old doesn’t mean he HAS to play old. There’s no reason they can’t go back in time and tell an earlier story (they did it Temple of Doom).

Even if they get one of the ground sooner than later the most they can hope for is another three years. By then Ford will be like 70! Who wants to see a 70 year old Indy! Now granted it might be great but still a 70 year old Indy!!!

I was really hoping if they continue the Indy series get anther Indy like they do every 10 years for bond! I always thought Nathan Fillion from Firefly would be a great Indy! He would do the character justice!

I’ver never been a Shia LaBeouf fan so seeing him continue the series is not what I had in mind. But hey I’ll always give the series a chance as long as Lucas and Speilberg are behind it!
