Iron Man First Flight Video

By Doug - April 8, 2008 - 11:41 America/Montreal

Thanks to the wonderful world of YouTube we have another clip from the upcoming Iron Man movie. Check it out!

One of the things I am looking forward to in this film is bitchin’ construction scenes. I want to see as much robot suit construction as possible. For some unknown reason the idea of a robot exo-suit has always delighted me, and I plan to live vicariously through Tony Stark in this film. This clip is ok; but seems out of place without context. I welcome any tidbits they will throw our way however and greatly anticipate this film.

  8. Kristina says:

Hate to nitpick, but do ALL action movies have to have guitar music blasting in the background. I heard that shit and rolled my eyes. Hope the whole soundtrack isn’t like that.

“Thanks to the wonderful world of YouTube”

I prefer the wonderful world of Apple HD trailers. :-)

It’s looks fantastic. It sounds terrible.

I hope that’s not really the voice of Jarvis they are using. It’s weak. Jarvis is supposed to be an older man, like Batman’s Alfred. From the voice in the clip it sounds like a snotty British 20 something fashion editor.

Also, the sounds of gears and pumps in the background is silly. It sounds like a cheap robot from an 80’s B movie.

The look of Stark’s face surrounded by the heads up display is spot on. Straight from the comic. Also, the little flaps popping out of the suit to stabilize flight is a nice touch.

And bland generic rock guitar music has to go. As a rule, all movies should have an orchestral score by John Williams.

I’ll be honest, there’s a part of me that believes that this film will not deliver and suck big time. We’ll just have to wait and see.

    I liked the vid though.
