Scarlet From GI Joe Movie
Aside from Justice League, I think the next big colossal mess of a potential franchise movie is going to be GI Joe. You keep the ray of hope open that it MIGHT end up being good, but I am highly dubious of that potential.
Still, even if the movie sucks, we can now say that Scarlet in the movie (being played by Rachel Nichols) is going to look smoking hot. Check out the first picture of Scarlet:
The picture looks great… but that doesn’t change anything. I’m not about to just go “OOOOOoohhhh! She’s hot and has red hair! This movie will rule!”. It takes more than that. But give the devil his (or her) due… that pic looks fantastic. (Source: JoBlo)
She’s gorgeous, but if you’ve seen one hot chick in a skintight black uniform, you’ve seen ‘em all.

But wait…isn’t Scarlet a good guy? If the good guys are in black, what’s Cobra going to be wearing? This outfit looks a lot like that Snake Eyes pic we saw a while back.
She looks hot and I hope she can pull off the action role, but I don’t like outfit. Are all the Joe’s going to be in these black uniforms? Maybe it’s just the missions uniform. I always liked Scarlet’s outfit from the cartoon and don’t see why it has to change completely. Snakes Eyes’ uniform didn’t change that much.
Not that it matters …I don’t have a whole lot of hope for this film anyway.
Her suit reminds me of the new Batsuit in the Dark Knight.
So far the characters are looking good.
I remember when the first pics of the movie X-Men came out and everyone was bitching because they didn’t like the costumes and they weren’t the same as in the comics and cartoons.
I seem to be getting flashbacks of that with this. Not just here, but everywhere, people are bitching non-stop on other sites about the suit and how it’s not the same as the cartoon.
Hmmm….you’re right, Slushie Man. Also, I remembered when they made casting announcements on X-Men, people were complaining about that too (me included). The only big thing I’m really concerned about this movie is the casting of some of the non-actors.

Doesn’t it just make sense that everyone is wearing the same thing. I mean G.I. Joe is supposed to be a military organization hence they wear UNIFORMS! Uniforms that give the soldier a tactical advantage over the enemy. The color black does that and plastic molded boobs help as well.
I remeber when the first X-men pics came out and I liked the outfits, Much better than if they tried blue and yellow tights. However, These outfits for the Joes suck. There military group and if I rember correctly the only military guys that wore black were navy seals. These look like a bad attempt to make the Joe’s look not military but spy ninjas wait isnt that what Snake Eyes does? I hate how hollywood spends so much money on crap they dont need. “Lets give the Joe’s high tech looking spy gear, instead of military required uniforms with patchs that say GI Joe on them.” Wouldnt that cost 5 million? ” Thats ok will still make lots of money off the toys and merchindise.” Maybe I wouldnt be so turned off thou if they were camoflage instead of just black.
Geez people. It’s a G.I. Joe movie. It’s suppose to just be fun. Everyone is bagging on this without seeing anything but a couple of stills. It’s like calling a pregnant woman’s unborn baby ugly without even seeing it. Let’s just wait and reserve judgment until we see it.

i was hoping theyd make it more realistic and less superhero like. i wanted it like- with real marine/army/navy seal uniforms not this marvel universe tights bullshit (which i usually love but not in this movie)
i thought only snake eyes would get the tights now turns out theyre all probably going to wear tight shit- great.

what you sayd exactly- the digital camo marines/the army use would look so nice- only shipwreck and snake eyes should wear black tights
all other characters should have reall guns like m-16s not what they used in starship troopers and the nice digital camo not these suits that, dont get me wrong- ARE really hot but not for a gi joe movie

the thing i loved about transformers is that they made the military look so awsome in the sense that they used the best, blackout and i think i saw an ofsprey helicopter at the begining of the movie and starscream was an F-22 and brawl was that awsome tank- just throughout the whole movie they used like laser guided air strickes and i loved it!!
they used like everything cool thats been on the show “future weapons”
hopefully gi-joe will be like that- using what awsome stuff we have on the military and putting it on the big screen- but you cant do that with ninja uniforms.

After what I’ve seen from the Snake Eyes and Scarlet picks, I’ll probably pick this up on DVD when it hits.
The outfit is amazing! Gives me a wedgie though…similar effect to Kate’s in Underworld movies.
More importantly, I hope the movie turns out well.

the problem with taking comic book costumes to the silver screen is that what looks good on paper offen just looks stupid in real life.
have you ever seen someone in a yellow “Wolverine” costume at a comic-con or costume party? uber-stupid!
and the reason the cartoon made each g.i. joe different is because they were selling toys, and if every character dressed the same the toys would have been nearly identical. why buy ten g.i. joes that look a like except for minor facial features?
tell me, how many cobra troopers did you buy? one!
one more thing, the film makers are after the non-g.i. joe fan customer as well as the fans, so the movie has to appeal to them too.
Yes I think the movie was made for both GI Joe Fans and NON-Fans. I think they tried to grab a bigger demographic than just the hardcore GI Joe Fans. But all in all, Scarlet was Hot! I did like the outfits!
Fist off i thought the movie would also suck but being into gijoe so much when i was a kid i had to see it, But The movie rocks, the crappy casting worked great, the plot was good, Cobra commander is in it. Things that differed from the cartoon sucked but ill buy it and not just for the baroness and scarlet. Dont be late, hell yeah Gi Joe friken rocks
