It would of been much better to put an American born asian actor as the main character instead of an overly annoying white-boy messiah.

What completely ruins this movie is that goofy annoying white kid who is supposed to be China's saviour - WTF?! What the hell were they thinking? Kinda like how Jabbar Binx and the little kid that played Analkin Walker ruined the Starwars Episode 1.

I didnt really think it was going to be a good movie anyways. Im Asian and ive seen many kung fu movies made by American writers, and the plot is usually the same. White guy is the hero and he always gets the asian girl. But i see that alot of other people feel the same. But despite that i have to agree it was a good movie and it was worth seeing Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

wow i must say im a big fan of both jet li and jackie chan but im frustrated by the american boy in the movie, i found his character lame and down right irritating .I feel this movie deserved to be an all asian cast to pay true tribute to the two legends who have been deprived of a fantastic duo movie.Whats up with the witch as well "born of the wolves" i exspected to see wolves in there to go with the character but all i saw was a whip being used as a weapon,i mean come on they could have done a lot with the character. All i can say the inclusion of the american boy in this movie spoiled what could have been an intresting movie for me .

It doesnt matter what Jet Li or his people actually said about him doing martial arts epic movies, the way it came off on posters and trailers for whatever movie that was he did... it appeared as if it was his last, and marketed that way. I went to see it thinking it was his last!

About this movie, It was fine. Id Recommend it, but I wouldn't watch it more than once. Also wouldn't buy it. That is how I review.

Did anyone else get the heavy vibe of the escapist Never Ending Story plot similarities? Young American Kid is obsessed with something, whom is ridiculed for his passions. He finds an artifacts that "transports" him into a different world which he is engrossed in. A quest ensues to which he is the crux of the situation. In the end he discovers new powers and grows as a person.

He also gains sweet kung fu moves or a personal luck dragon. Doesn't help his uggo looks though...
