Crazy talk John! Wicker Man is way up there as one of my all time greatest films. The soundtrack, performances, theme and story – tremendous.

Christopher Lee would disagree that he “could do better.” He’s always said that The Wicker Man was one of his favorite roles. He did the movie for free and still loved it so much he went around promoting it (check out the DVD where he goes on some crappy local movie show to talk about it, and seems perfectly happy to do it).

This was not really a sequel but a thematic companion piece of some kind, from the same director based on his book. He’s been trying to do it for years, too bad if it has fallen through for good.

But if John doesn’t like The Wicker Man I guess it’s all for the best. The millions who do love the movie can stick it. This means you, Christopher Lee.

Oh wow, I could see someone not liking Blade Runner, although that is a stretch in itself……but…hating Blade Runner?!

John is usually alone on an island when it comes to his film tastes. That’s not a good or bad thing…it just is. God bless him.

The original is excellent with such a great ending.

But I am glad their isn’t going to be an original, I had heard about it a while ago so good to see nothing will come of it.

You sir, are entitled to your opinion, but The Wickerman is the fuckin’ Citizen Kane of horror flicks (yes, I stole that quote from someone else). Between this and your hate of Blade Runner, yet your unabashed love for Transformers makes me wonder. No fault to you, but the trend of ‘quick-fix’ films tends to undercut the more classy ’slower-paced’ films, especially for the mainstream moviegoer.

I’m sure there are people out there that find Psycho, Rear Window, and heck even Mad Max boring.

Sad.

It could be worse. It could have been the sequel to the Nicolas Cage Wicker Man not the “original”. Come to think of it, in these days of DTV sequels, someone might dust off that ol’ script and rework it into
