The book is one of the funniest, if not THE funniest book I’ve ever read, so if they do it justice it will be fantastic. But what makes it great is Danny Wallace’s writing, so if they’ve just taken the concept and not any of Danny’s heart (obviously I mean that in the metaphorical sense not the literal, that would be a bit excessive even for Hollywood…) then it could indeed be rubbish. We shall see.

All I need to know is that Zooey Deschanel is in it. I watch a two hour movie if it gauranteed at least 15 minutes of Zooey. :D

I’d consider watching it since Zooey Deschanel is in it but Carey just seems like his best comedy years have passed him. Dumb & Dumber was the funniest film I’ve seen him in.

Read and loved the book. Just hope this doesn’t turn into another one of Jim Carrey’s Liar Liar juvenile style genres. Looking forward to it nonetheless

Has anyone else read the book this is based on? It’s written by Danny Wallace and based on his real life experiment. It’s a fun book, but I’m not too interested in a film version.
