The guy would have to be good 6ft plus, and with beefy-vein-popping thick wrists for any/all of the close-up screen shots of him holding the “Mjollnir” [Thor's hammer]. He would have to be blond and blue eyed to accurately reflect the chronicles of “Ruoskva” Proto-Germanic mythology of second kingdom. And, he better use some thick Asgard [Norwegian]dialect.

Now, I am not sure who can play the role of the “goat” for Thor’s Chariot? May be Rob Schneider…just kidding Rob.

If Vladimir Kulich was about 10 to 15 years younger….perfect choice for Thor…he’s got the the voice, the stature, the build, the flippin hair and eyes…..when I saw him in the 13th Warrior…..I was like damn…..he kind of looks that Thor guy from the comic books…no joking….

I disagree with both Chris and Rodney. Brad Pitt would be a good choice to play Thor, the norse god of thunder. He’s got the correct facial structure as well as physique, and is a very experienced actor. But his voice and stature is what is in question from my opinion. Brad has neither the towering height or commanding voice required to be the God of Thunder as I remember reading about in comics as a boy. Now, casting a wrestler would be a horrible idea as well. Lets face it how many wrestlers actually make descent actors. None that I can think of in my own opinion. John Cena….good wrestler…horrible actor. Along with Cane and Hulk Hogan…and so forth…. wrong type of mentality. If I had to set the requirements for the suggested actors to play Thor, at least 6′2″ or taller, an athletic yet muscular frame, blonde hair, blue eyes, and the signature scandinavian angular facial features….similar to Pitt’s face. That’s how I remember the Thor of the comic books.

No, I am categorizing Triple H with well.. Triple H.

He is NOT an actor. Wrestlers are not actors. Why give a massive potential tentpole for your studio to the likes of a non-actor?

You name ONE blockbuster tentpole by any studio that has had a pro wrestler as the primary lead.

Guess what? There are none. They play supporting roles or background guys that just need to be big guys.

The ONLY movies where a wrestler is the lead are the fluff b-blist movies they bring direct to video or at best, filler movies they don’t bet the bank on.

A wrestler as a Marvel Films lead? Never going to happen. I dont care what fanwank you are on about, but HHH will not be Thor.

I think that everybody is forgetting about THOR’s other eago Donald Blake. Now Brad Pitt would be perfect for that part but you need someone else to play THOR and who wver has seen HHH he would make a great THOR. Who ever says wrestlers can’t act is categorizing them with HULK HOGAN he couldn’t act and should of just stuck to wrestling.

Chris, not insane. And do you even KNOW what a midget is? That kind of talk is insane. Brad Pitt is FAR from a midget.

He is a hair shy of 6 foot. (The required height according to the recent casting call) The right shoes would tip him over by a couple inches.

And the Hammer would be CGI so this silliness thinking Pitt (who is freaking buff) couldn’t “lift it let alone spin the damned thing” is just retarded as well. They made Brandon Routh lift up an island, and I am sure they didnt consider his physique when making Superman.

Not saying they SHOULD do Brad Pitt, but I would be completely comfortable with that choice.

Ok…thor…….Not a midget.He is a NORSE god.BIGGER than life.Able to throw a Hammer and fly around.Brad would be able to lift it let alone spin the damned thing.

If your looking for someone to PLay the god thor I personally would look into WWE.they are already able to act…True badly.They are huge…for example Edge is something like 6′10″.Stature….Compare Brad Pitt to Dave Batista…..

Casting brad pitt in this role would be a horrible IDEA!
