Meli, don’t hate me but P&P is the only movie that I genuinely loved Keira in. I didn’t think she deserved that Oscar nom at all, but I loved P&P.

Iris – I am going to give you a standing ovation for not jumping on the Kiera train of saying she was good in Pride & Prejudice, she was awful and competely miscasted as Lizzie. Man, I have felt like the only person alive who felt that way.

And I still am very on the fence about Ellen Page play Jane Eyre….I hope she will surprise me.

I do like Jane Eyre, but I don’t know. It is sort of a snore fest and I bet not a lot of peeps will see it.

okay, i don’t like it and partly because of her age. i know that in the book jane eyre was around page’s age. however, in reality the life experience can trip up a younger actress. for example, i abhorred kiera knightly in pride and predjudice, i thought she was all wrong and not at all oscar worthy.

Well…Jane is suppose to be a plain beauty of sort, so Ellen fits that, but I’m not sure I see her as Miss Eyre. This will be interesting.

The Other Boleyn Girl, while entertaining if you didn’t think too much while watching it, had some holes me laugh. And of course the book was much better, which is what I always expect. I don’t even compare the two mediums anymore.

I can’t believe they’re remaking both Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre again! Perhaps they figure giving them a little more of a main stream remake will be successful considering the popularity of the Jane Austen flicks.
