Harvey Korman dies at age 81

By Rodney - May 30, 2008 - 05:46 America/Montreal

Most noted for his role in the Carol Burnett show, comic Harvey Korman has died.

IMDB says:

Comedian Harvey Korman, a multiple-Emmy award winner best known for his work on “The Carol Burnett Show” and in comedies such as Blazing Saddles and The Pink Panther Strikes Again, died Thursday at the age of 81. According to a family statement issued by UCLA Medical Center, Korman reportedly suffered complications related to the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm he experienced four months ago.

I was raised on the Carol Burnett show as my parents tuned in as often as they could. Tim Conway was my favourite from the show, but I certainly remember Harvey Korman.

You might remember him best as the typical western villian in the Mel Brooks Spoof Blazing Saddles, but to me he will always be “That guy from Carol Burnett” or the voice of The Great Kazoo (the little green space alien featured in some episodes of the Flintstones)

Rest in peace Mr Korman.

Yeah I’m going to miss him. I loved that he would laugh in the middle of a skit. Then he would get Conway going then Carol would follow. Count de Mohnay – Count de Mohnay. Wait for the shake.
