There are lots of WB discs like these…they all suck, namely because you have to go into the chapter menu to get to the “play movie” button.

However, I LOVE the fact that when you insert the disc it goes straight into the movie (Disney’s FastPlay anyone?) on a non-pirated DVD. (Burned DVDs are a different story)

Okay… this disc has been horrible since it was released, the transfer is poor, and the whole presentation is poor.

Now… IT WAS RELEASED ON HD-DVD and NOW BLURAY! Why don’ t you know this???

Both have commentary, and are exceptional transfers of THE ORIGINAL MAD MAX 2 cut that is slightly different, and more graphic than the US cut of Road Warrior.

Please, before you post something like this (where a warning to not get the DVD is WARRANTED), do your research and don’t ‘hope’ that it will improve on BluRay when it is ALREADY OUT!

Finally, even the VHS tape release of the film was a better presentation than the DVD… you also didn’t mention that this release of Road Warrior is now available on a double-disk with Mad Max 3-beyond thunderdome… Wouldn’t you think they’d remaster the poor disc? NO.

Thanks for reviewing it, but you REALLY could have done better research.

This isn’t anything new….some of the first DVDs that came out are exactly like this.

I have Demolition Man, and Total Recall, and they didn’t have to many special features, and not much else.

So, has this guy only seen about 5 DVD’s then? I know many DVD’s which go straight into the movie, plus the Blade Runner: the Director’s Cut DVD came out before The Road Warrior and it gets no mention and it has the exact same menu, wtf.
