I grew up, totally obsessed with Scooby-Doo.
There wasn't a movie I didn't own, or a book I hadn't read.
I still love Scooby-Doo, but am dissapointed with the last few animated movies.
The 2 'real people' movies were done fairly well, though I detest the way Scrappy-Doo was portrayed.

This movie looks to be good, though the gang won't be played by the same actors.
It's been filmed.

Hayley Kiyoko, a talented teen from the Stunners, will be appearing as Velma.
I, personally, can't wait.

Well personally I like the Scooby Doo movies and just because a few of you do not think the prequel will be no good does not mean others will think like you. You never know how a movie is going to turn out it can be a big flop or a hit either way it is not for one person to decide. Who cares if the people are no good maybe they will be in this and it will make them more famous or help them get a start. Who are you people to say that this movie will be a flop when well IT IS NOT EVEN OUT YET. Do not judge it before it is even released because you have no idea at all what its going to be like. You may even get a big suprise and like it.

If the reason why they are making this is to simply make a quick buck on something with a low investment then it will hurt the franchise. Sure, if it is really bad people will soon forget about it and and something can be produced again in the future - meanwhile, the young kids will love it and then forget it. However, this is no way to maximize the value of Scooby. Think about the cartoons that you love. They never go away and we continue introducing them to our children, buying the DVDs, the toys, etc. It really drives me crazy when a great property is bastardized. Take for example the Speed Racer Movie. They really blew it. Fortunately, the owners of the animation have made a Speed Next Generation and they have a few more things in the works, which I cannot disclose - All I can say is that it will knock the socks off any real fan. The reason is because they remain true to the original content and characters. The same is true of Batman. The last movie was brilliant. It really shows Batman's internal struggle with himself, he is complex, mysterious and he intrigues us. He also fights the bad guys. Fans never outgrow it or forget it. We love it.

It's completely obvious why they would do a prequel... beacuse they dont have the entire cast they now can just get a whole new one... i think it's smart

But the kids love them.

So they will keep making them because parents will buy them. I own both of the ScoobyDoo movies already.

It sure is Doug but i don't think it's ever going to change. These kind of films are cheap junk and they disappear without a trace almost as soon as they come out. They can't hurt us.
