Louis Leterrier Set To Direct Strays

By Doug - June 16, 2008 - 10:49 America/Montreal

LouisleterrierFresh off the Hulk Louis Leterrier has scored another job in Strays. We get the skinny on this project from the radioactive caves of Yahoo:

Director Louis Leterrier, whose “Incredible Hulk” was the weekend’s box-office champ, is in negotiations to develop and direct “Strays,” an eco-themed action thriller.

Written by Michael Ross, the Summit project, produced by Film 360, concerns a group of young consultants on a business trip to Russia who mysteriously wake up in an abandoned and radioactive city and must fight to survive.

One of my critiques of the Hulk was that I really didn’t like a lot of the camera work. There was too much shaky cam and the editing was far too fast from one shot to the next. I want to soak in the meaning of the scene and properly imprint the images on my mind. Each shot should be a work of art ala Hitchcock.

Issues with Leterrier aside, abandoned cites are always great places to tell a tale, and a radioactive city in Russia sounds like good stuff to me.

Will zombies come to attack them, or mutated beasts that look other worldly in their appearance?

My guess where going to see some old Soviet zombies. Hey Doug did you see Shock Waves ? It was a zombie Nazi film with Peter Cushing. I think we may get something like that. But now with some old red army zombies.
