Ridley Scott Ready To Return To Sci Fi

Ridley ScottIt looks like Ridey will return to the realm of Science Fiction (where his star brightly shines). We get the scoop from our friends at comingsoon:

Eclipse Magazine talked to Blade Runner and Alien director Ridley Scott, who says he’s finally ready to go back to sci-fi:

I waited for a book for 20 years and I have got the book. I am not going to tell you what the book is but that film is going to probably be written within the next month. That will definitely be what I do next after Nottingham, the Robin Hood film that I am doing now in England.

I love some of Ridley Scott’s films very much. Others I consider to be big bags of waste. Very seldom do I see a Ridley Scott film that is just alright. Ridley and I have little or no middle ground.

I have no idea what this film will be about, nor the book that will serve as its source – but I am pleased to see Ridley return to Sci Fi land. He has been responsible for some of the pillars in the genre and I would welcome a return to form with outstretched arms. We will be sure to keep you up to speed of the news and will

    Great news, the treatment and atmosphere he gives to Scifi films is unrivalled. The world needs more Ridley Scott Scifi!

    He should have directed the Bioshock movie IMO

    I hope he takes the alien approach with the visuals; some of the tricks used to cut costs on that actually made the movie feel so much more real.
    ridley can’t go wrong with sci-fi really, can’t wait
