Sex Drive Poster
We have scored the poster for the upcoming teen sex comedy Sex Drive thanks to our friends at MTV:
The word on the street is that this will be a Superbad-esque teen sex comedy. James Marsden is set to play the bully older brother who he likens to Chet from Weird Science. I discovered the above information about the film from an interview with Marsden himself that was made available through firstshowing.
I am all for teen sex comedies, but whenever a film compares itself to another that has been recently released ….I cannot help but get my guard up. Inspiration is one thing, but too often “inspired” films seem like lackluster rip-offs. We will see if this one has legs of its own, or is forever damned to be a copycat.

As a film fan. I don’t care about it at all. I would be ok with never watching it but as a designer is cool poster.
I hate it when movies do those comparisons too, Doug. Right after American Pie cam out, all these cheap knockoffs came flying down the pipe. I want people to make their own trail, not follow the friggin’ leader all of the time.

(This film sounds like it has less than zero originality. And that poster is in way bad taste, and there’s the proud Mtv logo).

I was a Production Assistant on this movie and I’m telling you, it’s not a rip off of Superbad. It’s original and hilarious. Test audiences rated this movie extremely high and I know first hand that it’s going to be a huge hit. James Marsden, Seth Green and the three lead actors are amazing.
i worked on the movie too , i own one of the picture cars shown on the movie , and let me tell you , for what i saw, this movie is hilarious , original and has “legs of its own” although i better say “wheels of its own”. i was often laughing on the set everytime they shot a scene . so let me tell you you are in for a hilarious ride!
“Sex Drive” is the first studio picture for the writing duo Sean Anders and John Morris. Prior to this they wrote directed and financed their own small indie pic called “Never Been Thawed.” For two guys who used to rock the Phoenix music scene and had no film experience whatsoever – it wasn’t a half bad flick. Watch it and try not to laugh. Check it out, and you’ll know why “they are all whores, Al.” Personally, I love a Rusty Trombone. Check it out on Net Flicks.
